Interview with Miss SC CEO/Founder of The Single Ladies Cafe, New York

What made you develop The Single Ladies Café?

At the time, I had been out of the dating game for many years. When I decided to date again everything had changed (in my opinion for the worst) so I started the CAFE first as a blog to get women to talk about what was going on in the dating scene.

What sets you apart from the many magazine/ Talk-show advisors that are doing what you do?

We keep it real on our talk show. We have a no sugarcoating attitude. We won't sugarcoat a response to not hurt someone's feeling. We base our responses off of morals and facts, however, we will tell it like it is respectfully. As for the magazine, we are a dating magazine and we focus specifically on dating/relationships along with some celebrity interviews, news, fashion and gossip.

How important is fashion in your line of work?

Very important for us because we are public figures. As women we enjoy the latest trends. We just love fashion.

What does it take to walk in your shoes?

Passion and compassion! Love what you do and love who you are doing it for.

How have you developed a presence and fan base?

As previously stated we started out as a blog that turned quickly into an online radio talk show. Now we are a TV talk show on our Public Access channels in Rhode Island. And of course we are on the social networks: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and we are very active in our community.

What is next for your career?

We plan to restructure our talk show some and take it on the road. Our fans can now request our show in their city, live.

The Single Ladies Café Show is an informative dating talk show for SINGLE WOMEN that inspires, encourage and educate them through topic discussions, music, comedy, spoken word and sets the tone of a café environment hosted by Miss SC and the Foxx, a mother/daughter duo.

The Single Ladies Café Talk Show started December 2010 as an online radio talk show. In June 2012 The Single Ladies Café moved its show from an online radio talk show to Public Access and as of February 2013 they launched their complimentary self-titled dating magazine.
