We judge books by the cover all the time. Are we not suppose too? In one word what we wear is ‘reflective.’ Whoever coined the idiom ‘you can tell everything you need to know about someone by what they wear’ should be a fashion legend. Truth is, we choose what to wear based on what we like, can afford, or genuinely desire for whatever reasons. This entails: desire to please someone by wearing a certain themed outfit, wearing a favorite color, purchasing name brand or the next best thing. Which are all reflective of our characters, so choose wisely and feel comfortable, your comfort level will really brighten your presence.

One common reason you might feel discomfort in a shirt, jeans, or dress is because it looks good, but simply isn’t your fit, or not your favorite material. You’re going to show all the wrong signs when you’re in this discomforting state: frowns, nervousness, contemplation, distraction, and trust me it is noticeable. A solution would be to balance your outfits with your comfort, and feel better about what you are wearing it will really show and your happiness and more importantly your confidence will be recovered and received by all.

Another common reason for not feeling to comfortable and letting it show is by having a problem finding fashionable things that you enjoy—and it can be depressing. Stay within your comfort levels by all means, but scout for better material if you want to change how you are interpreted as a person. In this case, don’t go far from what you wear day to day, don’t ever change who you are, simply find your style with more flare, and a better feel to reflect how you feel on the inside outward. It can be helpful to speak with sales associates as you are shopping, people who know of all the similar material and can guide you through this transition. Don’t only agree or disagree to the choices they pick out for you but follow their advice and learn how the ropes from them. The student becomes the teacher, gaining a little fashion knowledge on what makes a fashion statement is nice. But learning your fashion style is something women strive to figure out. So go to the well-educated boutique owners, sales associates and if you’re accustomed to making friends as you shop, let them in on what you’re going for. If you are really driven to get the hang of having full control over what’s best for you and your style, and how you will be interpreted, reach out to professional fashion designers for their advice. Make it work for you.
