Don't let too much make-up distract co-workers or lead them to not take you for the professional that you are. Stick to these no-fuss make-up tips to look your best on the job.

Keep make-up light and looking fresh.

Start with a moisturizer under foundation to keep skin hydrated and prevent face from drying or becoming chapped.

Apply a water-based foundation that matches your skin tone. Try one shade brighter than your natural coloring for a brighter complexion.  Be sure to put on a thin layer. It should not be obvious that you are wearing foundation. Tinted moisture is another good option.

Use a light concealer to cover up red spots and blemishes if you prefer.

Now for eye makeup:

Do go easy on eye shadow, eye liner and mascara.

Wear light colors that look natural and highlight your features without being distracting.  

Go for beiges and nudes.  

Apply foundation on lids as it will help you eye shadow have more staying power and last all day.

Avoid dark colors, which are more appropriate for evening. Dark make-up is not only always appropriate for daytime, but it can also make you appear older.

Carefully apply mascara in a shadow that matches the color of your lashes or black, but one or two light coats will look more natural.

No glitter!

Many cosmetics on the market contain with too much shimmer.

Stay away from shadows, blushes and lipsticks that are frosted or have glitter. They will look a little young and are distracting in a professional setting.

Highlight cheeks with blush in peach or rose shades – whichever looks best with your coloring.
