When you have decided that you want start a career as a creative director the first and foremost thing to do is your research. Most director positions will require or at least expect you to have a 2-4 year degree in graphic design, art or fashion. Depending on what area you choose to focus in. Creative art directors are needed in almost every industry. Choose what you are passionate about, earn your degree and in the meantime create a portfolio and use that when interviewing and applying for different positions.
