Many architectural firms are eager to hire younger and more ambitious people so if you’re still in college you might consider working as an intern while still in school. If you’ve been out of school then consider working as an intern to add something to your resume and get your foot in the door. Take additional classes such as drawing,and design. Send out resumes to all the architectural firms in your area, even it they’re not hiring. Get experience in other aspects of architecture such as zoning, and building codes. Learn good communication and sales skills as this is important in being able to sell yourself and your ideas.
