My friends always want me to take pictures of them, how do I charge them?

I find that many of my friends want to ask me to take pictures of them. I dont want to take money from my friends. what do i do?   sometimes if you just tell them upfront that you charge a certain amount they will respect it. Not all your friends are really trying to get a free-be off of you. What is the worst that can happen?
