Job Summary/Description:
WHSV has an immediate opening for an Account Executive to work with local businesses and help them grow through the use of effective research, marketing, and advertising on our broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, FOX and MeTV) and our full suite of digital marketing products.
The Account Executive is responsible for building relationships with local businesses, diagnosing their needs and developing marketing solutions using broadcast and digital tools. This position includes lead generation, customer needs analysis, creation of proposals and presentation of solutions.
Duties/Responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Growing your list in the form of new business. We are extremely focused on generating new, local, direct business!
- Maintain a list of ongoing accounts
- Researching ideas for both new and existing accounts
- Building dynamic presentations customized to grow your client's business
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- 1-2 years of sales experience, OR a background or education in Business (preferred)
- Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Ability to use creativity to solve problems
- Ability to develop campaigns and motivate others
- A real desire to understand your clients and their businesses
- A thirst for ongoing learning: advertising, marketing, television, digital
- Must be good at networking and comfortable speaking with our advertisers and potential advertisers
- Some experience selling digital products/strategies including audience targeting, social media, SEO, and OTT (preferred)
- Knowledge of presentation software, i.e. MS Office products
- A positive, team oriented, energetic, attitude
- Must meet the Gray Television driving requirements and have a valid driver's license
