JOB SUMMARY
****** is seeking 26 Summer Interns to join our team. During this assignment, interns will have multiple areas to assist with; Operations, Revenue, Guest Experience, DEIB, Communications, Community Relations, Sporting. and other administrative projects.
AVAILABLE INTERNSHIPS:
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Taking initial telephone or email inquiries and troubleshooting and managing relatively simple hardware, software, or network problems
Monitor backup solutions
Recognizing and escalating more complex problems to senior engineers
Maintaining hardware and software assets using asset management tracking software
Creating and maintaining client-related documentation and end-user guides
Actively participate as a strategic technology team member, including participating in team meetings and providing technical support for team staff.
Support staff during Match days at the stadium as needed
SPONSORSHIP
Work closely with the Partnership Marketing team to assist in the development and execution of co-branded activation programs, events and marketing opportunities.
Attend each ****** home match and partner events/activations in a working capacity to capture proof of performance photos, assist with on-site activations and more.
Monitor ****** owned channels - including the ****** app, social media accounts and website - to capture content relating to corporate partners.
Assist in the creation of Proof of Performance reports and recap presentations.
Assist with projects focused on new business, including market research and inventory management/development, to support the Partnership Sales team as necessary.
Research, build and present a sponsorship sales pitch to the CITY Corporate Partnerships team for a potential partner, utilizing best practices and trends within the industry.
Develop and maintain knowledge of Major League Soccer rules, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance across all partners and activations.
Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to ensure a seamless and "all-in" approach to deliver value and impact to our partners.

Support the team with overflow copy needs (email, social copy)
Support social team with content planning requirements.
Support team with proofing
Work with team concepting ideas, thematics, and activations.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION & BELONGING
Assist with research, planning, and implementation of strategic DEIB initiatives by supporting data analysis, streamlining processes, and generating reports.
Support document management, including updating DEIB learning resources and maintaining files and support tools.
Research and provide recommendations on resources for building and retaining diverse talent.
Analyze existing processes and help ensure that CITY's diverse global workforce is well-supported.
Assist with employee engagement activities, including supporting CITY's DEIB committee and community service activities.
Participate in all internship activities and events scheduled during regular business hours.
Support additional special projects on an as-needed basis.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Provide administrative and project support for day-to-day CR functions
Tracking of memorabilia
Support for in-season CR outreach activities
Maintenance of CR inventory databases
Tracking of donation request
General administrative duties such as response letters, scheduling, and outreach event support.
TICKET SALES
Assisting Ticketing representatives in day-to-day administrative tasks around ongoing campaigns, membership events, and other customer service(s).
Assist in the group sales and premium sales process.
Assist with match day duties.
Utilizes CRM system to manage accounts, pipelines, sales processes, and activity.
Act as a problem solver, working with the Ticket Sales, Premium Sales, and Membership Services team(s) to assist in resolving customer issues.
The intern will also assist with other various duties, as needed.
ACADEMY OPERATIONS
Maintain clear communication between players and families
UPSL Registration
Got sport registration
UPSL forms and min standards set by the league
MLS forms and min standards set by the league
Collection and organization of documents from athletes
Help manage the calendar of all four teams
Gather and maintain athlete information on the company platform
Communication between clubs for both home and away matches
Assistance with equipment as needed
Review of video from training and games
Stat tracking
Trip preparation and research
PUBLIC RELATIONS (10 hrs/week)
Assist with media operations for game days, speaking opportunities, and events.
Assist with research on industry trends, news, and updates.
Create and distribute all press releases for ****** Academy and CITY2 activations.
Assist with the day-to-day management of media assets on stlcitysc.com.
Monitor, track, and analyze media coverage for reports following grassroots, experiential, and traditional communications campaigns.
Assist with creating and pitching feature ideas to local, regional, and national media.
Support interview preparation, including creating strategic messaging, Q&A, fact sheets, and background information.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
GUEST EXPERIENCE
Assist with scheduling match days and special events.
Assist with match day and special event set up.
Assist with overseeing special events.
Assist with communication with Guest Experience staff.
Oversee uniform inventory.
Assist with managing/learning different areas of Guest experience match day roles.
Help with Guest Emails and Lost and Found inquiries.
Other duties as assigned by Guest Experience Director/Manager(s).
LEGAL
Perform legal research and analysis
Lead legal projects and process improvements
Examine legal data to determine strategies
Analyze potential outcomes of cases, legislation, and regulation
GROUNDS
Field preparation: This involves setting up the field, including marking the boundaries, setting up the goals, and ensuring that the playing surface is level and free of debris.
Pitch maintenance includes tasks such as watering the field, mowing the grass, and aerating the soil to ensure the turf is in good condition.
Equipment setup: Matchday staff may also be responsible for setting up equipment such as goal posts, corner flags, and other gear deemed necessary by the team.
Cleaning: After the game, match day staff may be responsible for cleaning up the playing surface, including removing trash and debris and repairing any damage that may have occurred.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Program Eligibility:
Eligible for permanent employment in the United States
Currently enrolled in an accredited academic institution and working towards a degree.
Successful completion of pre-employment screening
Available throughout the summer season
Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Must be at least 18 years of age
Major field of study:
It must be relevant to the type of work performed within the internship.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
