Job Description
****** (******.com), a boutique home & lifestyle brand is hiring for our flagship location in NYC's NoHo neighborhood. We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager Extraordinaire. We are looking for someone with the following characteristics.
-Someone with passion, a love of beautiful things, an eye for detail.
-2+ years of previous retail sales experience with a minimum of 1 year of retail supervising experience preferred. Must have experience with operations, merchandising, sales, and stock activities.
-Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
-Open availability and able to work a flexible schedule.
-Be the ****** brand (fun, fabulous, exciting, playful, elevated, and a little cheeky).
-Generate sales and build clientele, both on the sales floor and through email and phone call follow-ups.
-Be dynamic, energetic and agile.
-Work about 40 hours a week, including weekends.

ABOUT THE ASSISTANT MANAGER
The Assistant Store Manager will aid the Store Manager with sales, systems & procedures, store appearance & merchandising and be a key player with providing customers with an exceptional, elevated, shopping experience that is consistent with the ****** brand.
Sales -
Assist in coaching and developing staff to meet individual and store goals.
Develop long term clients.
Aid in coaching and developing staff to provide excellent customer service and an elevated shopping experience consistent with the ****** brand experience.
Ensure merchandise that is sold off the sales floor is restocked.
Systems and Procedures -
Work in conjunction with the Store Manager in managing all areas of the daily operations of the store.
Assist in training the store staff in these areas, check their work, and provide feedback
Be able to troubleshoot any issues with computer systems, such as POS, ship-station, printer, etc.
Store Appearance and Merchandising -
Ensure that sales floor is impeccably clean and organized, including register area and window displays.
Take direction from Merchandising Director for new floor moves and merchandising focuses.
Ensure all lighting for windows and sales floor are in working order and properly directed.
Ensure all products are priced and have appropriate hang tags.
Ensure testers are clean for customers.
Brainstorm with Store Manager ideas for new ways of displaying merchandise, make recommendations as items sell through.
Ensure that back of house (stock room, bathroom area, break area, etc.) are kept in an orderly and functioning manner
Gift Wrap / Packaging -
Ensure that all gifts, shipped orders and products we package in-house, such as candles, conform to ******�s packaging protocols and high standards of execution.
Assist in training sales staff in these techniques when necessary.
Shipping and Receiving -
Work with the Store Manager to manage the shipping & receiving staff to ensure the proper receipt all incoming merchandise & supply deliveries.
Inspect for damaged / defective items, and that correct items have been sent out.
Receive new merchandise into inventory when necessary.
Aid in managing shipment of all outgoing orders.
Ensure proper shipping rates are being charged.
Maintain ******�s standards for shipping presentation.
