The Copywriter will write copy for a variety of marketing channels aligned with IIN’s brand voice, including but not limited to long and short form emails, landing pages and main website pages, social media, and webinar and video scripts. Through your understanding of IIN’s mission and unique positioning, you will effectively communicate the value of our educational offerings that resonates with our audience across each respective channel.

Reporting to the Director of Content, you will work closely with the Marketing Content Team in addition to cross-functional team members. You will have an innate ability to harness the passion and high emotions associated with earning an education from IIN to create highly effective messaging that grows brand awareness and enrollment in our products and services. You will create and enhance integration of the brand voice across all copy channels, working strategically to meet team- and company-wide goals.

Essential Job Functions of a Copywriter:

Write promotional, advertorial, and sales copy for email that considers product and brand positioning at the forefront while keeping brand voice and tone in mind
Write direct response, high-converting, short and long form, daily promotional emails and newsletters to convert prospects to students
Write drip sequences for trigger campaigns
Write copy for website, organic social, product launches, paid ads, and any ad hoc team needs
Develop long-form direct response landing page and advertorial copy
Write short-form promotional copy for social media, website pop-ups, and webinar scripts
Understand and utilize IIN product value props to create simple yet compelling messages for IIN prospects
Work collaboratively across Marketing teams to ensure that there is integration between product features and market positioning reflected in final deliverables
Develop and iterate product messages that can be used across marketing channels
Increase impact and effectiveness by understanding our core product, our target audience, and the competitive landscape
Embody the voice of the brand across channels and touch points, working cross-functionally to ensure compliance and consistency
Support the Director of Content and Product Marketing teams in developing messaging around new brand concepts and initiatives
Brainstorm and test exciting new ways to message both new and existing products
Proofread and self-edit to deliver work that meets the highest standards

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of a great Copywriter:

REQUIRED: 3+ years of product marketing experience writing killer, high volume, direct response email and landing page copy in a B2C environment
Significant experience in driving sales through optimizing copy across marketing channels, including email and website, ideally for B2C online products
Deep experience establishing brand voice, tone and personality while operating with a customer-centric mindset
Exceptional writing skills and proficient in editing for concise language, excellent word choice, perfect grammar and punctuation
Experience gaining, analyzing, and applying learnings gleaned from data
Ability to meet deadlines and proven track record of success in a dynamic, rapid growth environment
Proactive and highly organized with strong attention to detail
Independent, resourceful and a fast learner with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Be capable, trustworthy and a self-starter with a positive attitude, high energy, and a solutions-oriented mindset
Ability to work well in a team environment and develop strong partners internally and externally across many levels of the organization
Desire to think creatively and help contribute to team strategies
Ability to become familiar with company specific programs and software
Interest, passion and experience in the health and wellness industry a plus
