Job Summary
The Campaign Content & Action Team supports the strategy and implementation of issue-based campaigns within the Mission and Mobilization division to build a movement of millions of people in the United States to increase the Church's impact and influence in combatting global poverty, violence and injustice. Our bilingual/bicultural issue-based campaigns will advance CRS' vision of integral human development for all through education, advocacy and fundraising.

The Campaign Content Manager leads the Campaign Content Team and oversees overall development, coordination and dissemination of the content and messaging for Mission and Mobilization's issue-based campaigns for use through mass media (web, email, social), by chapters, and by other CRS partners and supporters. Working closely with Charitable Giving, Marketing & Communications, and other Mission and Mobilization teams, the Campaign Content Team designs materials and resources to successfully activate U.S. constituencies in issues-based campaigns both inside and outside of our chapter network.

The Campaign Content Manager collaborates closely with the Campaign Action Manager and team to identify and develop issue-based campaign content to maximize opportunities for constituent recruitment, engagement in advocacy and fundraising, retention, and advancement along engagement pathways.

The Campaign Content Manager represents Mission and Mobilization at internal cross-divisional and external working groups as assigned.

The Campaign Content Manager supervises the Campaign Content Team.

Roles and Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Cross-Divisional Leadership
Lead Mission and Mobilization's contribution to cross-divisional effort with Marketing/Communications and Charitable Giving teams to conceptualize and develop issue-based campaign content for the chapter network, mass media (web, email, social) and CRS partners outside of the chapter network.
Establish and guide the overall voice of Campaign content and messaging
Oversee annual Campaign Content mapping and development based on identified issue-based campaign calendar, goals and objectives
Provide strategic vision for Mission and Mobilization's collaboration with Charitable Giving and Marketing/Communications for cross-divisional storytelling initiatives

Bilingual/Bicultural Content Development
Lead the development of bilingual/bicultural print and digital content for all identified key audience segments including but not limited to youth/young adults, Hispanic constituencies, and university students to support all the mass engagement and chapter-based activities within the issue-based campaigns. Content includes but is not limited to reflections, prayers and other spiritual resources, fundraising initiatives such as CRS Rice Bowl and other community fundraising activities, emergency response, advocacy resources, issue backgrounders, and more.
Integrate performance data, best practices, and learnings to support continuous improvement and effectiveness of resources
Project Management
Oversee production of multimedia content (web, video, digital imaging, social media, print, etc.) with Marketing and Communications teams
Develop content request intake and workflow processes and timelines to enable successful development of resources within structured deadlines
Manage the development and governance of materials and content to support campaign goals, constituent engagement pathways, and the collateral needed for chapter engagement

Staff Management
Supervise and support Campaign Content team members, including content producers and Spanish editor
Foster a positive culture of enthusiasm and excellence


Basic Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in creative writing, international studies, marketing, communications and/or other related field.
In-depth knowledge of Catholic social teaching and structure of the Catholic Church.
Experience in developing and marketing content for U.S. Catholic audiences.
Two years supervisory experience
Minimum five years experience in related area.

Required Languages - English

Travel - Ability to travel in US and overseas as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (SKAs)
Strong leadership, coordination and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated success in supervising and leading the work of diverse teams.
Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize various initiatives.
Strong planning, monitoring and evaluation skills, and ability to guide strategy across divisions and initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Highly self-motivated and self-directed with ability to work under tight deadlines.
Displays critical thinking and self-reflection, particularly as it applies to continual improvement of work products

Preferred Qualifications
Functional capacity in Spanish (written and spoken)
Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing content for audiences targeted by CRS
Demonstrated ability to integrate SEO best practices into content development
Familiarity with CRS international and domestic programming
